Obtaining Acne Scar Treatment
Unfortunately for many people, acne does not last only in adolescence, but it also takes place during the adult years.Scarring on the face as well as having to deal with the occasional breakouts in the skin can often be seen. The hard part about acne is that there does not seem to be any way to stop it completely; there are only ways to treat the breakouts and make them less harmful to the skin. Acne scar treatment is one method that people who do not have breakouts in their skin anymore can use to help solve the pitting in the skin that is not easy to cover up. There are some acne scars that are not very noticeable, but there are others that cause deep pitting, which is very difficult to cover with makeup and causes shadows on the skin where the pit is. Finding the best acne scar treatment in those cases is even more important for the self image of the individual who is seeking the help.
Acne scar treatment Options
There are many different treatment options for those who have acne scarring. Some of these options are for those with mild scars and some are for those with deep scarring. There is a specialized method for people who have the deep, large ice pick scars. It is not usually a first option because it is painful, and it takes time to heal from it. There is a method called excision, where the doctor will cut out the pitted scar and then sew together the remaining skin so that it heals with a flat surface. Even though there will be a small scar there where the pit was closed, it is much easier to cover up since it is flat rather than the deep hole that was there from the acne scarring.
Another method that is used today is called the punch elevation. This method is also very painful and requires healing time on the part of the patient. It is good for the deep, pitted scars as well, but the method this time is to release the base of the scar from where it is attached and raise it up to the surface level of the skin. Then it is held in place to heal by a strip or glue so that the surface of the skin is flat again. This method can work if the pitted scars have normal edges to them, meaning that they are flat and can create the smooth surface of the skin that the patient desires. Besides these acne scar treatments that are for large scars, there are also acne scar treatments that are designed for mild scarring, such as laser resurfacing and chemical peels.
The 2009 Ashes Series Between England & Australia
The 2009 Ashes series between Britain and Australia will mark the newest chapter in an old competition between the 2 oldest Test countries in Cricket.
Arguably the most important, and captivating Test series on the Cricketing calendar, the Ashes began in 1882 thanks to an obituary published in English paper, ‘The Sporting times’ stating that English cricket had died following England’s loss to Australia in the 1882 series at the Oval.
From then on, the British made it their duty to get back the Ashes from the clutches of an Australian side that would later build itself as the best Cricketing country on the planet.
Names like Mark Taylor, Merv Hughes, Shane Warne, David Boon, Ian Healy, Alan Border, Glenn McGrath and Steve Waugh would see Australia dominate the Ashes from 1989 to 2003.
England finally regained the Ashes in 2005 in front of the British constant, with many labelling that particular test series as one of the most stimulating in living memory.
Despite the surge in confidence from the British , they were brought solid in fantastic fashion by the Australians in the 2006-07 series, losing all 5 Test matches to once more surrender the Urn.
Since that meek surrender, England has since struggled to replicate their 2005 Ashes form, plummeting to sixth in the ICC Test rankings.
After regaining the Ashes in 2006/07 however, Australia went on to win a record equalling sixteen consecutive Test matches, a sequence stopped by a loss to India in Perth during the 2007/08 summer.
Since then, the supremacy held by Australia in Test Cricket has been severely challenged, after they suffered a home series loss to South Africa early this year.
With criticism aplenty, many requested Shane Warne to come out of retirement and lead Australia’s failing charge to the 2009 Ashes series.
Although England’s form guide at the moment is far from convincing, the 2009 Ashes represents a huge opportunity for the team to produce their best Cricket when it truly counts, and add to what should be another memorable series.

Best Cricket Team in the World
2009 Fantasy cricket team . . . . .
I find that it’s always heaps of fun to fantasize about sport. My sport of choice is cricket. World cricket is absolutely thriving right now and is experiencing rapid influxes of money coupled with huge spectacles in its busy calender.
The IPL is coming up in SA, and then the 20 20 world comp in the UK and then follows ENG AUS test series.
Recently the world cricket has changed a lot. The Aussies face a tough challenge to remian at the top of world cricket with stiff competition from the sub continent and south africa waiting in the wings to take over, both in the ICC rankings and in actual form.
The best side statistically may be India. But they don’t travel very well and have only recently started to win test series away from home. Travelling used to be a weakness for the Indians but not since their win in NZ.
At present South Africa are the most likely to relinquish the Aussies crown. They for sure have the best captain in the world and someone that is always prepared to lead from the front with a steely grit and a sense of self assuredness.
Picking a world cricket team can lead to some arguments. All rounders could be the answer for your side.
Do you play 2 spinners?
You might play four or five bowlers?
Possibly all seamers may work?
There are too many great players out there really.
I decided to stop thinking over and over and actually pick the world cricket team that would destroy anything in their wake and deliver crushing blows to their feable opposition.
Opening Batsman: Graeme Smith and Chris Gayle
Middle Order: Sachin Tendulkar, Younis Khan, Ricky Ponting, Kevin Pietersen, Andrew Flintoff
Keeper: M S Dhoni
Bowlers: D Steyn, M Johnson, D Vettori
This varies a bit from the world cricket watch team but is still a world beater for my money.
And your dream team id . . .??
1975 Cricket World Cup
A World Cricket Flashback. . .
The cricket world cup of 1975 was the first ever cricket world cup and looking back on it is quite a bizarre experience. Until 1975, only 18 ODIS had taken place. ODI cricket was a new concept; traditional clothes, the cherry and long form of the game reflected this. It was staged in England for a fortnight in June.
The spirit in which the game was played was a lot more docile than what we have come to expect from the modern era of world cricket. A lot of sides saw the new concept as a shorter test game.
In a bizarre episode, Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar made history with surely the craziest runs chase of all time versus England in the group stages. With a target of 335 Gavaskar batted for a draw as if it was a test match.
His lack of desire to even attempt to pursue the target would be lamented these days. What would Gibbs and Smith think of slow batting in that ilk having chased down 435 in 50 overs.
Teams Present at Cricket World Cup 1975:
- Australia
- East Africa (cricketers from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia)
- England
- India
- New Zealand
- Pakistan
- Sri Lanka (pre test match status)
- West Indies
Despite the first cricket world cup of 1975 facing difficulties in clawing itself away from the traditional form of Test Cricket the tournament was a marked success that started the rapid evolution of cricket over the last 30 years. Thanks to the English great summer weather the world cup fortnight passed easily with the Windies winning a great final.
Eventual World Cup Winners: West Indies
And what a final it was! The premier world cricket final was held at Lords in June 1975. MVP Clive Lloyd smashed a century from 85 balls in a breathtaking display. His single handed efforts set up an impressive total and laid the groundwork for a West Indies world cup triumph.
Having set the Aussies a target of 292 to win Viv Richards proceeded to show the new importance of fielding in the one day game by running out three of their top order. The Aussie top order failed until an unlikely final dramatic twist almost occurred with a valiant final wicket stand from the great fast bowlers Jeff Thomson and Dennis Lillee. An aussie partnership almost claimed an unlikely victory but the Windies triumphed and the crowd went wild.
The West Indies were crowned world cricket champions as Australia fell 17 runs short of the total. The standard of finals to come was set especially high by this first world cup final. The 1975 world cup is still the greatest ever final according to many.
